Volker had an idea of a strange shape that might fly, so he drew it out and built it. Stuck for a name, he called it a "Silly, Funny Thing" and the name stuck - SFT for short. Others sometime refer to it as a "Volkeron". It flies as a high angle and makes a good kite for the top of a stack, with less pull than a Manta Ray.
